WRITTEN APPRAISALS We provide formal written appraisals for insurance, IRS, divorce or estate purposes. These will contain all of the items an appraisal should contain: -
A cover document explaining in detail what type of value is being sought ("purpose") and how the appraisal is to be used ("function" or "assigned use") -
The methodology and resources relied upon, including market analysis and market(s) selected -
A complete and accurate description of the property written in such a manner that it can be identified without photographs -
The date(s) and location of inspection, and the effective date of value -
Photographs -
A statement by the appraiser that he or she has no financial interest in the property, or that such interest is disclosed in the report -
The appraiser's qualifications and signature We provide you with two copies of your appraisal. One for you and the second copy for your accountant, trustee, lawyer or insurance company. We have done appraisals for estates with a value up to $500,000. COST: For a few items, $100 for each additional item. A large number of items (over 12) can be negotiated. Minimum cost is $200. One-half of cost is due upon signing contract, balance upon delivery of appraisal. If you have only one item and can bring it to us to document, cost is $100, no minimum applies.
CONSULTING We provide a ‘walk-through’ service for individuals who have a large number of items either inherited or accumulated. We come to your home/business and advise how best to dispose of your items based on your goals. Estimates of the value of the items will be given when possible. We can advise the most appropriate actions. For example: -

Items best to throw out Additionally, we will provide sources to aid you in your handling of these items. We have pre-screened these sources and recommend them. -

Estate sales COST: $100/hour, one hour minimum. Payment due when we finish. ESTIMATES OF VALUE This is a service where you can bring your item(s) to us and we will do a quick evaluation of your item at our office and give you what information we have as to history, materials, approximate value. This is not a Written Appraisal, only a verbal estimate of value. You will be responsible to take any notes of the information we give you. If appropriate, we can give you additional sources to do more research, get specialized information, repairs, or outlets to dispose of your items. COST: $10 per item due upon completion of visit. "ROAD SHOWS" We can provide on-site Estimates of Value for your events. You will need to provide the facilities and any advertising. We recommend that you limit each person to no more than two items.
